Mission Statement:
To provide replacement wetland habitats, when off-site mitigation is appropriate, that exceed the quality of the habitats impacted at development sites at a lower cost than other mitigation alternatives.
Diversified Habitats was formed in 1996 to provide wetland mitigation for developments
that are required to compensate for unavoidable wetland losses. The Clean Water
Act requires that these developments replace the lost functions and values of wetlands
and the Corps is charged with the responsibility to enforce the wetland provisions
of the Clean Water Act. Diversified Habitats has developed four wetland mitigation
sites and sells credits from these sites to developers. The wetland bank streamlines
the Corps permitting process, reduces permitting times and provides cost effective
wetland mitigation. To provide quality wetland habitats that exceed the habitat
values of wetlands lost at the development sites at a lower price and with shorter
processing times than other wetland mitigation alternatives. DH is owned and operated
by Michael M. Brodsky and Jim Paraskeva. This team provides many years of experience
in creating environmental solutions, project and construction management. DH also
draws on the experience of wetland and wildlife specialists, public wildlife management
agencies, the US Army Corps of Engineers and private non profit organizations to
complete its mission. DH has successfully developed four wetland mitigation sites
totaling over 300 acres. New sites are currently under review. Wetland credits are
available in Salt Lake, Tooele, Davis, Weber and Box Elder Counties. These credits
include all potential habitat types. Our best reference is the US Army Corps of
Engineers and participating agencies.
