Jim Paraskeva's Resume

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Mr. Paraskeva has over 20 years of progressively responsible experience in the development and management of environmental programs for government and private industry. He has been involved in environmental permitting and compliance; Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments; wastewater discharge permits; and wetlands permitting. He is certified by the US Army Corps of Engineers to perform wetland delineations and has worked extensively with the Corps on wetlands permitting in Utah. He developed Utah's first wetland mitigation bank and has developed over 200 acres of wetland mitigation.

Mr. Paraskeva has managed environmental sections in both the public and private sectors. He managed the Non Point Source Water Quality Program for the State of Utah. As a private consultant he managed a wide variety of environmental permitting programs including NEPA compliance, RCRA, NPDES and Section 404 permitting and compliance and Phase I, II and III Environmental Site Assessments.

Mr. Paraskeva is an owner and manager of Diversified Habitats, a wetland mitigation banking company. Diversified Habitats develops new wetlands and sells wetland "credits" to private developers requiring off-site wetland mitigation. Diversified Habitats works with the US Army Corps of Engineers to create new wetlands that meet strict criteria for approval as wetland mitigation. The "credits" obtained from these new wetlands may be exchanged with developers who require replacement wetlands to meet the Corps of Engineers regulations. This company has been in operation for over four years and has created over 200 acres of replacement wetlands.

Our staff is certified by the Corps to perform wetland delineations and we have extensive wetland permitting experience. If your project requires on-site mitigation or wetlands avoidance, Diversified Habitats can provide consulting services to develop low cost solutions. We have considerable experience in the development of wetland mitigation that complies with the Corps requirements.
